Is it Starbucks Coffee or Starbucks atmosphere we love

by Dean Holmes on July 5, 2009 · View Comments

Just a quick poll via Twitter – I am curious as I have my own opinion.

Poll results are live…select 1-5 Stars under only one, Coffee or Atmosphere or Iced Drinks,  1 being not-so-much and 5 being you love it

Starbucks Coffee: [starrater tpl=10]

Starbucks Atmosphere: [starrater tpl=10]

Starbucks Iced Drinks: [starrater tpl=10]

I will Tweet Results after a few days.

Starbucks has no atmosphere and their coffee is awfully expensive for the little they do with it. The only attraction of Starbucks:

    1. They "had" one on every corner, so convenience
    2. You knew when you went you would fit in no matter what you were wearing
    3. You knew you weren't going to speak with anyone
    4. If you actually called a meeting there, you weren't going to hear anything they said

So, Starbucks won't be missed, coffee shops with small town atmospheres, good coffee and great customer service (they know your name) will make it and you could actually meet influential people. Small Towns still have it going on and always will, make it comfortable, a place they know your name, good connections - and you have a great recipe for success.

Neither the coffee, nor the atmosphere...I go for passion iced tea and I do not hang out at Starbucks afterward. If I can drive thru...that's ideal.
