It seems so easy deploying a Social Media Campaign but soon turns to Chaos.
The ease that new platforms such as Twitter, Facebook and Posterous have made it to have a presence have also delivered new challenges as marketers try to build a Social Roadmap (Yes I built this).
It’s is the allure of simplicity that gets you to the dance, but “Connecting The Dots” to form the holistic circle of lifecycle relationships that seem to be daunting to many. As I speak to marketers and CEO’s of companies, I am faced with asking questions that seem to have many answers, none of which point to “we have a strategy in place and are ready”.
You can also look at this as a “Stop Thinking, Start Doing” approach to Social but may soon find yourself wondering what to do next. Leveraging our connections is not as difficult today given the technologies that exist, its forming the foundation, much like a well built house, that seems to reveal many cracks and problems shortly after moving in.
Story here is to begin to understand what is available to your organization, how the various applications (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Ning, etc…) are where your customers live and developing a way to reach out to them and ask for help. You will be amazed at how asking this “Tribe” within the Social Community is willing to help.
