Facebook: Sean Parker where does this go?

One of the Founders of Facebook, Sean Parker, is also the co-founder of Napster and Plaxo AND a Virginia boy – same as me :) (Didn’t know how many of you knew this-the part about Sean not me)

So I was thinking, how does one jump from creating such a controversial platform to a seemingly earthy style platform like Facebook? (Smart Guy). Does anyone feel that this history of creating a Napster and all the heat around that in the past legally, will spill over to Facebook? Also a little bit of surprise there is little mention of how to download music via Facebook applications, some are doing this with the FBML (Facebook Markup Language).

So… the silver lining for all of us, personal and brand, is that Facebook and it’s bright developer community offers us some unreal applications to begin to think about. Facebook is now like a Microsite, where you can have your html code right there on a tab, linked back to your site, driving traffic and relevance.

Look at Facebook in that way, especially Fan Pages, where you have the opportunity to deliver a inferior user experience for fans, while having a highly personal conversation all in the same place.

Is this going to take the place of Websites? What applications have you found to be most interesting?
